Hehe, you added a sub! Although I suppose it would have been more appropriate if it was a breakcore track xD

Sub bass isn't a requirement in all tracks, but it's a good element to have in heavier electronic songs.

Great work!

crispybatteryacid responds:

Trust me, sub is necessary in all genres.

??????????

How in the heck

These lyrics take me to a weird place, they paint such a vivid picture

Cyberdevil responds:

Mmm this instrumental definitely took me somewhere too; brought out something new... hopefully it's a place that does you good though! Thanks for this!

You need to start adding a sub bass to your breakcore stuff or I'm gonna scream

Edit: Pure sine wave, allll the way down my guy. If you call me lil bro again it's on sight

crispybatteryacid responds:

define sub bass lil bro

edit: @larrynachos hmm low synth with fast drum okie dokie I will find out how to implement that thanks g

The mix is very brick wall-ed, but I like the instrumentation!

crispybatteryacid responds:

wdym brick walled? Like too compressed? I just threw fruity soft clipper on there and called it a day so I see where you might be coming from lol

This needs a guitar solo so badly ><

Epic track!

crispybatteryacid responds:

IKR bro I’m broke I need to buy a good guitar plugin but I can’t :( I also have a scarce idea as to how to make free shreedage guitar presets sound better so yeah

With some sub bass this would have been golden! I think the drums fall a little flat but the minimalist feel is nice!

crispybatteryacid responds:

you mention sub bass too much I need to look this shit up

Yeah I went for minimalist here. Idk what I thought I was going, thought it turned out okay but yeah I agree, percussion could’ve been improved

Really nice fusion of genres here! I like the vibe!

crispybatteryacid responds:

Thank you! This was my first frontpage and I was really proud of it * moved to tears *

So before this one I hated synths because I was all like “ah shit I need violin and piano not this goofy ahh modern type shit” and then I didn’t hate synths anymore :)

Still have no idea how to create one from scratch, still trying to learn

I wish there was some BASS, but good nonetheless!

crispybatteryacid responds:

Ah. Nostalgia.

To me, what separates good music from great music is its ability to tell a story or convey an emotion.

I play a lot of modded Terraria and this one tried to tell the tragic tale of Yharim (the antagonist of one of the mods) his rise to power and his underlying guilt and depression. Didn’t succeed, but was a good stepping stone I think.

Thanks for reviewing all my stuff mate!

Lots of energy in those strings!

crispybatteryacid responds:

First piece with actually decent string plugins. Also the first piece where I began using percussion and shit, which I now use in almost all my stuff.

Really pretty song! I'm a sucker for storm foley :D

crispybatteryacid responds:

oh my god stop lookin at all my old stuff lol I hate it them so much ahhhhhhhhhhh

Thank you though! That was the sixth song I ever made and the only one of the six I thought was good enough to post.

I make games and music sometimes
