The melody is fantastic! I want those drum samples *^*
I'm glad that you like it.
I used EQUO to equalise the drums and then Effector to make them slightly more outstanding in the channels. :) You should have both plugins.
Okay, so it's an average beat, terribly mixed, but I still don't see what's so fucking bad about that. It's good background music to say, a title screen to a game. Get rid of the pan flanger on the cymbal, because it sounds awful like that.
Now, I'm not going to let my personal opinion of YOU as a person get in the way of this review. To me, you're a close-minded prick, but nevertheless, this is an adequate little tune.
Some d bag voted 2, but that's bullshit, so I voted five to compensate. This song is great! Nice use of the DSK musicbox!
Thanks!
Hey kabalist, how about you go fuck yourself? This song is fantastic.
Thanks Larry, I'm glad you liked it!
The drums are fine, I don't see why everyone else doesn't like them.
The vocals are ehh, but english vocaloids were never that great. My only issue is that at 1:37 the vocals get too loud in the mix. Other than that, this entire song is fantastic!
Nah only the japanese-english ones. Though I gotta say gumi english is clearer than miku english
Anyway thanks for the review
I really enjoy the piano melody, and the synths were fantastic, but the drums feel a bit off. Maybe it's a mixing thing, or maybe you just need better samples. Keep up the good work!
I was trying to give the drums a bit more punch, because a lot of my songs are pretty lacking in that department. I agree it might sound a little out of place in a song of this type, at least in certain sections of it.
But... at least they're punchier, right?... Right..?
Oh man this song is sweet. It sounds familiar, but I can't figure out from what >.<
its familiar cuz its from my head silly :)
MEEP
Oh geez, this song is great! The melodies blend perfectly, and the instruments are just superb. Nice job, dude!
ugh, uplod an animation nerd.
I don't think ez drummer is the problem. The eq is off a little. the kick isn't deep enough, and the cymbals cut off prematurely. I would definitely find a different instrument for the brass, because it doesn't seem to fit. It sounds like a french horn, but it's way to low, and it sounds like it's trying too hard to be the bass.
For the official release (on the bandcamp page):
The drums are really quiet. The brass is still a bit out of place, and the strings began to falter at around 2 minutes. The guitars are great, though, and that piano at the end was simply beautiful. A really sweet track, with a few mastering issues. ^^
Mixing/mastering is a constant struggle for me, I will admit, it's the biggest area I'm trying to improve in right now.
Thanks for the review.
I make games and music sometimes
