Hey, I just reached 80 fans. I might actually be able to get 100 fans before summer is over!

@RoVeRDude58 is mr. 80th, and he makes good music, so you should check him out. :)

I was super bummed because "Rise" didn't make it past the NGADM audition round, so this kinda helped cheer me up. Thanks, bruhuhuh!

One more thing: I've been working on the cover art for my album, and this is what I've come up with so far. You like?

So, I decided to cut off my latest album "Melancholy Melodies" at 8 tracks. You can see the full tracklist here: http://www.reverbnation.com/thebluephoenix/album/76357-melancholy-melodies. All songs are free to download on both newgrounds AND reverbnation, so take your pick, I guess.

I was gonna make a post when I hit 69 fans, but I already passed it.

I was gonna make a post when I hit 70 fans, BUT I ALREADY PASSED IT

Cheers to 69 fans! (snicker)

Cheers to 70 fans!

Now let's see if I can get 100 by september!

-------------------------------

Update:

I lost the will to work for a few days, and I almost considered cancelling my team for the Po4 event, but I decided against it.

Game progress:

- Puzzle Jumper v4: no progress

- Dead Defense 2: no progress

I'm working on a new slender 2d game, so what should I make the map? A city? A hospital? A school? Help me decide! Also, play my other slender 2d game and tell me how I can improve on it!

I was gonna make a comment on that new feed change, but Tom just made a post explaining it (good morning, Tom!), so I'm not gonna bother. I DO dislike the fact that I get feed items whenever a friend fans someone. It's annoying :P

So hey, I have my creative spark back, so I'll be making more stuff. This stuff includes:

- The rest of the album Melancholy Melodies (6/10 tracks done)

- Puzzle Jumper v4 (I need more levels, but I'm terrible at designing them)

- Dead Defense 2 (Again, terrible at level design. Send help)

- Maybe some more songs for my vocaloid album Suffering in Silence (3/10 tracks done)

- More stuff from The Techno Trio

I'm still tired, so this post might be sloppy, but it should make sense eventually. Cheers!

Hey, so I'm 16 now! That's pretty cool, I guess. I promised myself that after my birthday I'd make more content, but I just got a whole new pile of games, so I'll be playing those for a few days. Expect things to come back in about a week.

Games I got:

- Castle Crashers

- BattleBlock Theater

- Rust

- Arma: Gold Edition

- Skyrim

- Don't Starve

- A bunch of other games I don't remember.

Hey, so I just reached 60 fans. That's pretty sweet. Let's see if I can get to 100 by the end of the year!

Some small updates:

Po4: Still haven't made any progress for the Po4. I'm starting to lose a bit of faith in this project, because I suck at keeping everything coordinated and organized. Whatevs, we still have three months to make the game.

Suffering in Silence (vocaloid album): No progress since the third track. I still haven't made a lyric video for youtube yet.

Melancholy Melodies: Four tracks down, six to go (I'm aiming for at least 10 tracks per album)

Dead Defense 2: Yeaaaah boy, I'm working on a sequel, and it's gonna be sweet! It's still using tiles and sprites from cs2d, but it will be mechanically sound, I assure you. There will be a news post in the future with further details.

Puzzle Jumper v4: No progress. Still trying to design levels. I've gotten as far as world 1-9, but after that, all creativity left, and I'm unable to come up with any good levels. I might have to cut the game short.

Ben Drowned - The Game: Cancelled.

Untitled 3d zombie game: Cancelled

Jontron - The Game: Shelved. A concept I would like to revisit in the future.

Coin Collector 2: In the concept stages. I'll keep you guys updated.

One year ago yesterday, I released my first OFFICIAL track "The Beginning of The End". Looking back, I don't think I've improved too much. Actually, I think I've gotten worse. With the release of The Dying Trance, my creative inspiration died. Sure, I have a good melody here and there, but I just can't produce the same amount of quality content I could last year.

I've swapped genres, kind of. I used to make trance/techno/dubstep music, but now I work with orchestral and metal music. I hate it, because I really love making trance music, but anything I make never sounds good enough, so I never release it. It hasn't gotten any easier with the new genres. My picky mind doesn't think anything I create is satisfactory, so I get upset and give up. I'm stuck in a loop:

I'm unhappy because I can't create music, and I can't create music because I'm unhappy.

I've come to the conclusion that my music isn't good enough to sell, so all of the tracks for "Stubborn Beginnings" and "Bloody Memories" are now free to download. My two upcoming albums, "Melancholy Memories" and "Suffering in Silence" will also be free to download once they come out. Anything beyond that is still up in the air.

When 2014 first rolled around, I thought I was going to make it my best year. I was going to release top notch songs, games, and animations. Instead, I got the opposite. On my youtube channel, I've been releasing videos at a rate I'm not happy with (1 a month, with the exception for may, when I uploaded nothing). On newgrounds, I've released only a handful of songs this year, along with a few shitty games.

People tell me to get away from it all. Take a break, relax, and return when you're ready. Well, I've been doing that. I've been sitting in my recliner, wasting the days away with video games, and I'm still not ready.

Whatever, maybe shit will get better in July. Cheers!

To make up for not submitting anything original for the 2030 jam (I'm just doing music for someone else's game), I'm going to try to make something spectacular for the Power of Four game dev event.

Team name: FOUR SCORE

Programmer: Me

Artist: Bobie11

Musician: Cacola

Sound Effects: Teravex

Tom said we could join multiple teams, so if another group would like me as a programmer (I use construct 2) or as a musician, feel free to ask me!

So I refreshed my pc, which surprisingly left my files intact, thanks to the windows.old folder that it created. Without that, I would have lost all of my games/songs/animations. This doesn't mean I'm back yet. I'm still struggling with that huge brain block, and I'm really not sure when it'll go away. I'm trying as hard as I can, guys. Perhaps after a few days into summer vacation, I'll get all of my creativity back. I usually work best when all alone in my house on a dark rainy day. Until that day, I'll continue to waste my time sitting in my recliner and reading.

P.s. anyone get mario kart 8 yet? I was dissapointed with the final product. Iwata said it would be "the ultimate mario kart", but he was so full of shit. I'm working on a video review, which I'll upload to youtube if I ever get around to finishing it.

This is just a quick post. I've finished uploading the music video for The Last Show. Please enjoy.

I'm going offline again for a few days. I've dorked up my computer to the point that I need to refresh it, and it may result in the loss of my files. My songs, my games, and my animations. I'm currently uploading the most essential programs and projects to google drive, but there's no guarantee that I'll have anything at the end of this. If I lose everything, well... I'll probably be offline throughout the summer, working as hard as I can to rebuild what I lost. I heard that a similar thing happened to teravex, so if he can recover from a hard drive wipe, then I probably can too.

Until next time.
