Alright, so I was really pumped this weekend. I had the idea for a new music project, and I was gonna start working on it, but a problem arose.
See, I bought a new pair of headphones, and when I plugged them in, the sound came from both the laptop speakers AND the headphones. To make matters worse, I get the same result whenever I plug in my secondary pair of headphones or my earbuds. I've tried rebooting my computer, restoring it to an earlier point, uninstalling and reinstalling my audio driver, and leaving the computer completely off for a few hours. Still nothing. Worst case scenario is the new headphones broke my headphone jack when I plugged them in. If that's the case, then I have to wait until I can buy a pair of USB headphones, which could be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. This has completely halted my productivity, so don't expect anything new for a while.
Update: I'm looking into getting a USB adapter for my headphones. Might not be as screwed as I originally thought!
